Safe human foods for hamsters

Lets talk about some safe and unsafe snacks you can feed your hamsters

Before we start talking remember that these should only be fed as snacks along with fresh water and a seed mix.

I have had angel for quite a while now, and over the months i have learned lots of safe and unsafe foods for hamsters by doing lots of research into them, now i can share them with you so your hams can try them to! A thing i like to do is make angel a little salad out of some of the foods listed bellow, she also had her own roast dinner for Christmas last year as you can see in the pic bellow. theres some pictures of angel enjoying some of her favourite foods as well. Now here's some safe and unsafe foods you can feed your hammys!

Safe foods you can feed your hamster include - broccoli, carrot, apple, unsalted peanuts, strawberry, cauliflower, banana, cucumber, celery, raspberry, blueberries, cooked chicken, boiled egg or plain scrambled, mango, cooked rice, cooked pasta, unsalted pumpkin and sunflower seeds, flax seeds, plain popcorn, spinach, melon, peas, cheese. Theres also lots more but do your research before giving something to your hamster you are not sure about.

Unsafe foods you should never feed your hamster are - chocolate, citrus fruits, apple seeds, sweets, crisps/potato chips, anything really salty, cherry stone, garlic these are not the only ones so make sure you check if the foods unsafe if i have not listed it.

If you have a hamster that is at higher risk to diabetes avoid sugary fruits and treats.

I hope your hammys have a great time enjoying these foods. Bye for now :)
